Solskjaer Gets 3-Match Ultimatum, To Escape Man. United Sack.

Manchester United coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been given a three-game ultimatum in order to escape a sack as the club’s manager.

This development comes after ESPN reported that the Manchester United board could not reach a unanimous decision to replace him with Antonio Conte.

According to reports Solskjaer was able to keep his job after he met with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and managing director Richard Arnold, 24 hours after the humiliating 5-0 defeat to Liverpool at Old Trafford.

However, his fate is almost certain to be sealed during the forthcoming international break, except he can oversee positive results against Tottenham, Atalanta and Manchester City.

The Norwegian will remain in charge for Saturday’s trip to Tottenham, but he has been given no guarantees beyond that.

Solskjaer signed a three-year contract in the summer, but after winning three of their first four games, United have lost five of their last nine and conceded nine goals in their last two Premier League games.

They have not won a league game since the 2-1 victory over West Ham on September 19 and are seventh in the table, eight points behind leaders Chelsea.
