Mr. Eazi Says He Is The Originator Of The Slang “Detty December”. (Video)

Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter, Oluwatosin Ajibade well known as Mr. Eazi has stated that he is the actual originator of the popular Nigerian slang, “Detty December”.

The singer made this claim during the first episode of the second season of his ‘How Far? with Mr Eazi and Temi Otedola‘ Podcast.

In the podcast Mr Eazi further revealed to his girlfriend and listeners that he had already gotten the slang trademarked to his name.

“If I do say so myself, I invented Detty December. In 2016, I had called my tour the Happy Boy Tour and it was like in December you detty yourself. And I have that song, Detty Yasef.

And I was going to have a Concert in Lagos, we made billboard and they ran #Detty December. So like, have fun, get drunk, Detty yourself. But I think it’s grown from that to a mood in december…”, Mr. Eazi stated.

The slang ‘Detty December’ means a “December in Nigeria when you lose your home training and party with all your might to make up for the hard work you’ve put in from January till November. It usually involve concerts, vacations, party and nightlife.”
