Benzema Sets New UEFA Champions League Record In Madrid’s Loss To City.

Real Madrid forward, Karim Benzema has set a new UEFA champions league record after his performance against Manchester City, in their 1st leg semi final encounter.

Benzema showed the class he is made up of when he scored a brace in the Semi-final game against Manchester City.

The Frenchman became the first person in the UEFA Champions League to score as many as 5 away goals in the knockout stages against clubs from a country in a particular season.

Benzema scored a hat trick against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the quarter-final stage and a brace against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in the first leg of the semi-final.

The match however ended 4-3 in Manchester City’s favour, Real Madrid fans will hope, he maintains this form when both teams meet to play in the second leg at the Santiago Bernabeau.
