German defender, Antonio Rudiger has been officially unveiled as a part of the Real Madrid team.
The former Chelsea defender was unveiled on Monday, June 20th, 2022 at a press conference to the media and some of the supporters who were present.
The 29-year-old expressed his delight in joining the club and also assures the fans that he will bring competition whenever he is called upon on the field of play.
Speaking to pressmen, Rudiger stated as follows;
“At Real Madrid, the most important thing is to win and they have shown it in recent years. Being able to play for a club like Real Madrid is unbelievable. It is normal for Real Madrid to have great players but I am confident in myself.
Real Madrid’s first contact with my agent was in September and I spoke with Ancelotti in April and then I made my choice. Barca was interested in me but I told my brother it’s Real Madrid or nothing. 14 Champions Leagues is something impressive. It teaches you what this club is all about, which is winning.”
Rudiger joined Real Madrid as a free agent after he failed to reach a contract extension with Chelsea.
