On September 19, 2023, Khaid, who is signed to Neville Records, confirmed his commitment to assist Mohbad’s family by donating two million naira. Additionally, he has pledged to allocate 100% of the royalties generated from his newly released tribute song, “Forever,” to Mohbad’s son, Liam Aloba Eyinimofeoluwa.
Khaid expressed his feelings, stating, “These past few days have been filled with intense emotions for all of us. We lost a remarkable talent, a wonderful person, and a friend, ‘Imole.’ In my own small way, I want to support the family by providing N2 million to the late brother’s wife and dedicating 100% of the royalties from the newly released tribute song ‘Forever’ to Liam Aloba Eyinimofeoluwa. Rest in peace, IMOLE 🕯️🕊️.”
In the wake of Mohbad’s passing, the Nigerian police initiated an official investigation into his death on September 18, 2023, with the aim of uncovering the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
