Nasty C Credits Nigerian Rappers as Inspirations in His Music Journey.

Renowned South African hip-hop artist, Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo, better known as Nasty C, has openly shared his admiration for numerous Nigerian rappers and Ghanaian prodigy Sarkodie, who have significantly influenced his career. Alongside these international influences, Nasty C also draws inspiration from fellow South African rap icons such as the late AKA and Cassper Nyovest.

In a recent podcast interview with Afrozons, the 26-year-old rapper disclosed, “My pioneers for hip-hop in Africa, in no particular order, are M.I, Sarkodie, Olamide, Phyno, AKA, Cassper Nyovest, Naeto C… There are so many.”

With his self-styled title as the “Coolest Kid in Africa,” Nasty C has firmly established himself as one of the most commercially successful rappers on the continent. His extensive collaboration history with Nigerian artists, including Burna Boy, Runtown, and Davido, further underscores the cross-cultural appeal and influence of his music.
