In a remarkable achievement, Rema attains legendary status by receiving two prestigious plaques. The Nigerian singer joins an elite group as the fourth artist to successfully sell out the renowned O2 Arena.

Following his unforgettable performance in London, the music sensation was presented with two plaques in recognition of the sold-out O2 Arena concert and the extraordinary milestone of surpassing one billion streams for his chart-topping hit, “Calm Down,” featuring Selena Gomez. Rema, a rising star in the Mavins music family, has undoubtedly marked significant milestones in his burgeoning career.

On November 14, 2023, the award-winning artist became the fourth Nigerian singer to achieve a sellout at the 20,000-capacity O2 Arena, joining the ranks of Asake, Wizkid, and Burna Boy. The concert was also made available for streaming on YouTube.

Notably, “Calm Down” secured its place in history by becoming the first African track to amass a billion streams on Spotify. This milestone underscores the positive outcomes of collaborations between local and international artists.
