South African singer Tyla is keeping the momentum going as she announces the release of new music in December.

After the success of her hit single ‘Water,’ Tyla excitedly shared the news of another song set to drop on December 1, 2023. She posted a video on her social media with the caption, “Pre-save live December 1st.”

‘Water’ has made waves, becoming the most streamed afrobeat song on Spotify, boasting an impressive 178 million streams, according to Chart Data. The track surpassed hits like Davido’s ‘Unavailable’ and Victor Thompson’s ‘This Year,’ securing the top spot.

On November 17, 2023, Tyla surprised fans with the release of the ‘Water’ remix featuring American rappers Travis Scott and Marshmello. The remix, unveiled on YouTube, followed much speculation about the mystery guest, with fans guessing names like Ayra Starr, Rihanna, Trevor Jackson, Chris Brown, or Rema.

The remix arrives amid Tyla’s Grammy Awards nomination for ‘Best African Music Performance’ at the 66th edition scheduled for February 4, 2024. ‘Water’ also achieved significant success, peaking at Number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100, according to Chart Data.
