Delta Police Rescue Three Kidnapped Sisters

The Delta State Police Command has successfully rescued three sisters who were kidnapped in Egbudu-Akah, Aniocha South Local Government Area of the state.

According to SP Bright Edafe, the command’s Public Relations Officer, the rescue operation took place on Tuesday, March 26. He shared the update on his social media handle.

In his post, Edafe mentioned, “The command yesterday, March 24, 2024, rescued three sisters who were allegedly kidnapped in Egbudu-Akah, in Aniocha South LGA, and arrested one of the suspected kidnappers.”

He further explained that the sisters were reunited with their families thanks to the vigilance of a concerned resident who witnessed the kidnappers dragging the girls into the bush.

Additionally, during a routine stop-and-search operation in Agbor on the same day, the police intercepted a suspected cultist. Upon searching the individual, they found a locally made cut-to-size double-barrel gun in his possession.

CP Abaniwonda Olufemi has ordered that the suspects be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.
