Access Bank Says It Will Return Stamp Duty Charges.

Reacting to customers’ reactions over the recent stamp duty reductions, Access Bank announced that it will return the stamp duty charges back to customers.

Stamp duty deductions apply to all credit received into current and savings accounts in respect to electronic transfer and teller deposits of N10, 000 and above. The money is remitted to the Central Bank of Nigeria

According to a statement made on Sunday via it’s Twitter page, the bank shared a photo on the Update On Stamp Duty Charge, with the caption;

We have heard your feedback and we hope this goes a long way to make it better. Thank you for sticking with us. #AccessMore

“This means that individuals and SMEs who were debited for the accumulated stamp duty charge for February to April 2020 will be refunded.”
