The All Progressives Congress, Lagos East Senatorial Candidate, Hon. Bayo Osinowo has vowed that he would not disappoint the electorate when elected to represent the district at the National Assembly.
The frontline senatorial candidate made the vow during the flag-off of a town hall meeting organized by him in Lagos.
The meeting will hold in the five local governments across the district, though started yesterday in Kosofe Local Government.
He told the gathering that he is equipped with the legislative proficiency to ensure a purposive representation stressing that the town hall meeting is fashioned to acquaint him with the first-hand challenges facing the people.
He further added that the program is beyond a talk- shop, as opinions, ideas and advice proffered by participants will guide in the formulation of a well-prepared policy document.
“The essence of campaign is to seek for votes, while this task is religiously pursued during this period to ensure victory at the polls, simultaneously, the period offers us the opportunity to engage the populace as it will create a platform to have a deeper understanding of the first-hand challenges facing the populace”
“Therefore, my mission to represent them at the National Assembly is to bring prosperity of development to the people, as well as the communities, thus, the town hall meeting will provide a direction to achieve this purpose, as the input gathered during the meetings will be a reference book to guide when elected”
The interaction witnessed the presence of notable stakeholders from all walks of life, cutting across market men, religious leaders, community leaders, youth and student bodies, non-yoruba speaking communities, artisans amongst others.
