2023 Elections: SDP faction joins PDP in Osun

The former Chairman of Social Democratic Party SDP in Osun State, Dr Bayo Faforiji, and his faction of the party had reportedly joined the PDP on Tuesday.

As the 2023 general elections gets closer, political stategists are already making moves in order to be victorious.

In a statement by Sola Ayandinrin, the protem Secretary of Kosemani Group, as the defectors were called, said the former SDP members were received by the acting Osun PDP chairman, Sunday Akanfe, in Ede.

The statement said with the group’s return to the PDP, the journey to reclaim Osun State from the ruling All Progressives Congress had started.

Receiving the defectors, the Osun PDP acting Chairman,  Sunday Akanfe, commended the group for joining the party and assured them of full cooperation in a bid to strengthen the party for future challenges.
