More Than 10,000 New COVID-19 Cases Recorded In Russia.

On Wednesday 13 May, 2020 more than 10,000 new coronavirus cases were reported in Russia, this sees the country register the world’s second-highest number of infections.

This brings Russia’s total number of infections to 242,271, as Health officials reported 10,028 new cases over the last 24 hours.

President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov has become the most recent senior official to test positive for the coronavirus. As health authorities on Monday said they had carried out nearly six million tests.

Russia was working on developing vaccines and clinical tests are planned to start in June.
