Members of the Nigeria Football Federation have revealed why the NFF will never think of hiring former Spurs manager Harry Redknapp would replace Gernot Rohr as the coach of the Super Eagles.
The Nigerian football body has already extended their contracts with Gernot Rohr and two NFF officials claim he is a better choice to Harry Rednap.
Harry Redknapp last job was managing English club Birmingham City where he was fired in 2017 following six straight defeats in all competition. Since then, the former QPR coach has been without any club will reports claiming that he might have retired from coaching before the Super Eagles talk came up.
“The news is all a hoax as some people are trying to be mischievous. “Even if Nigeria ever thought of having a new coach, it would definitely not have been Redknapp. Hiring him would mean returning the Super Eagles to the 1980s which is ridiculous. “Our boys haven’t done badly under Gernot Rohr, so why should we dump him at this critical moment?” NFF chiefs explained according to the report on GOAL.
