EFL Confirms Two New Positive Covid-19 Tests.

The management of second-tier English Football League, EFL, announced that two persons connected to Championship clubs have tested positive for coronavirus in the latest round of testing.

The league management released an official statement of the covid-19 tests results on it’s official twitter page. Which revealed that championship side Barnsley FC had one person who has tested positive to the virus.

The statement revealed that the positive case in Barnsley is from an asymptomatic member of backroom staff who had tested negative in all four previous rounds.

The EFL has revealed that the championships will commence on June 20, few days after the Premier League resumes.

The management also added that 1,179 players and club staff from the 24 Championship clubs were tested  latest round of Covid-19 testing. This implies that over 5,000 tests have been carried out on players and staff associated with Championship clubs since May 21.
