COVID-19: Coronavirus cases in Nigeria hits the 47,000 mark, as total now 47,290

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 423 new COVID-19 cases as total toll surpasses 47,000 on Tuesday, August 10.

This comes four days after the country recorded over 46,000 coronavirus infections. Between August 8 and August 11, 1,150 new cases were recorded.

In the centre’s latest data posted on Twitter, there are now;

It would be recalled that on Monday, the country’s total coronavirus was 46,867 total cases, 33,346 recoveries and 950 deaths across the country.

With the new toll, there are now 47,290 total cases, 33,609 recoveries and 956 death cases across the country.

Also, with NCDC’s August 10 situation report, total samples tested nationwide have increased from 319,815 to 321,951.
