The Edo State election is few days from now, as parties put their final touches for who will become the next governor of Edo State.

The National Campaign Council Chairman, Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has urged the people of Edo State to be vigilant and defend their votes. Governor Wike is convinced that Governor Godwin Obaseki will be victorious, as he made the statement at the grand finale of the Edo State PDP campaign held at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.

Governor Wike also stated that, the only way to end godfatherism is if Godwin Obaseki is re-elected, as the achievements of Obaseki over 4-years and the evidence on ground shows Obaseki is loved by his people and as such, is the right man to lead the state to its promise land.

“By the grace of God, Obaseki has won, but that doesn’t mean you should go home and sleep. Everybody that wants to fight godfatherism should come out and vote.” Governor Wike stated.
