Just In: FIFA Sends Nigeria Football Federation $1 Million COVID-19 Palliative Relief Fund

In a time when citizens are all in search of that warehouse that is housing palliatives that was supposed to be shared during the heat of the pandemic, the football world governing body (FIFA) has sent a large sum to Nigeria.

The news which was shared by the President of the Nigeria Football Federation NFF, Amaju Melvin Pinnick on his official social media account (Twitter), reads that the sum of $1 million was received by the federation in the frame of palliatives. The money was received by the Nigerian Football Federation two days ago. FIFA also promised to send an additional $500,000 sometime in January 2021.

“Huge appreciation to football’s world governing body, FIFA, for the $1 million the federation has received in frame of palliatives. The money was received by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, and we re-confirmed the purpose from FIFA two days ago.” Pinnick tweeted.

Pinnick in a conclusion note, thanked FIFA and also wished the President of the body, Gianni Infantino a speedy recovery.
