Lekki Shooting: “Sanwo-Olu Denied Inviting Us And We Are Not Happy About It”- Nigerian Army Reveals

The lekki toll gate alleged shooting, will forever be remembered by Nigerians, as one of those night with lot of controversies, at 10th October 2020 will never depart from the hearts of many Nigerian youths.

The Nigerian army has expressed its disappointment with the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu insistence on not inviting them to intervene in the #EndSARS crisis at the Lekki toll gate area of Lagos State (10th October 2020).

Brigadier Al Taiwo, stated that he is disappointed that due to the crisis and hijack of the peaceful protest by hoodlums and thugs, the army where called to ensure the violence didn’t degenerate, as lot of stealing and destruction of government and private organization were being looted and destroyed.

“I spoke with the governor and said the army was unhappy that he said he did not ask the army to intervene. But I’m sure, after we’ve watched everything, we saw he had more than reasonable grounds to ask the army to intervene. Perhaps, it was the way everything went that made him say so.” Brigadier Taiwo stated.
