Reno Omokri Lends His Voice On The Alleged $1.2bn Intended Loan From Brazil

Almost 24-hours ago, a news broke, as it was reported that the Federal Government is seeking a $1.2bn external borrowing from Brazil to finance agriculture programs in Nigeria’s 2021 budget.

According to the Minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmed, when appeared before the House of Representative Committee on Finance in Abuja, said the program, which she tagged, “Green Imperative Program” is to address the whole agricultural value chain in the country, from production, mechanization, processing and selling.

Former adviser and presidential aid, Reno Omokri, has taken to his social media platform (Twitter) to lend his own voice on the supposed $1.2bn external borrowing from Brazil, has he called on the President of the Republic of Brazil not to lend any money to Nigeria, as any future Nigerian government will mount a vigorous campaign to repudiate it.

“This is to put the Republic of Brazil, on notice that if you lend money to Nigerian government, any future Nigerian government will mount a vigorous campaign to repudiate it.” Reno tweeted.
