FEC Changes Retirement Age And Years Of Teachers, Check out The New Age

There has been good news coming from the office of the Federal Executive Council on the approved Harmonised Retirement Age for Teachers.

According to the Federal Executive Council, FEC, the retirement age of government school teachers in the country will be from 60 to 65 and also the service years of teacher will change from 35 to 40. The meeting which was approved and presided by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, had the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu and other executive body in full attendance.

According to the Minister for Education while briefing newsmen, said the bill is to be presented to the National Assembly, which is to be signed into law, as other special packages were also included for teacher in the yet to singed bill.
