FG Pleads With ASUU Not Go On Strike, Reveals Who Is To Blame.

The Federal Government of Nigeria has pleaded with ASUU to call of its intending plans to go on a fresh strike.

According to reports Emeka Nwajiuba, the Minister of State for Education, has stated that there is no reason for ASUU carry out the industrial action, just eight months after the union suspended a nine month long strike in 2020.

Nwajiuba pointed out that the bureaucracy at the Central Bank of Nigeria is to be blamed for the delay in disbursement of funds to ASUU.

ASUU had earlier given the Federal Government a deadline of Tuesday, August 31, 2021 to meet their demands otherwise there will be a shutdown of all tertiary institutions across the country.
