Court Releases Jaruma On Bail, For Allegedly Spreading Lies About Ned Nwoko and Regina Daniels.

Hauwa Saidu, commonly known as Jaruma, a social media influencer and aphrodisiac entrepreneur, has been granted bail by an Abuja High Court, following an alleged defamation and false publication against millionaire Ned Nwoko, which led to her arrest.

Ned Nwoko had accused Jaruma of spreading lies about him and his wife, Regina Daniels, on her Instagram page.

When ruling on Jaruma’s bail application on Friday, Justice Ismaila Abdullahi stated that the defendant’s remand should not be viewed as a punishment.

the statement by the Judge read as follows;

The court did not detain Jaruma in detention as a punitive measure to punish the defendant, but to have her present and respond to her case,

By doing so, I’ll quickly bring out that the defendant’s charge is bailable but not usual. I hereby give her bail, subject to the following conditions: the surety must be a level 12 civil servant employed in the Federal Capital Territory.

Also, all the parties involved in the case should stay from anything that would be prejudicial to the case.”

He, however, adjourned the case till February 23 for hearing and then issued a warning to all parties involved in the case to avoid conduct that could be seen as detrimental to the case.
