Many viewers love watching fit wrestlers battle it out inside a ring and most times (especially in our younger years) we see them as some supernatural being, whereas they are mere human beings who undergo normal daily activities like us.

The truth is that the wrestlers are not always as they seem. Here is a list of some former wrestlers and what they are up to now.

Kane

With real name Glenn Thomas Jacobs, Kane is one of the most popular wrestlers in history. Kane has also been an actor, politician, and businessman. He starred in See No Evil, which is a great place to watch him as an actor. In 2018, he also entered politics and won the mayoral seat of Knox County in the same year.

Goldberg

William Scott Goldberg was an inevitable pro wrestler in his prime. But after the end of his career, Goldberg looked for other options to sustain himself and family. At the moment he currently runs his very own gym in California, where he is living out his days with his wife and son.

The Undertaker.

Mark William Calaway made waves in the wrestling world under the name the Undertaker. He had been one of the most feared people in the industry. Wrestling aside, he has also gone into real estate! At the moment, he and his wife get to work with animals through the fund that they set up for this passion.

The Rock

Tagged one of the most influential people in the world by Times Magazine, Dwayne Johnson, popularly known as The Rock. You do not even have to be a fan of wrestling to know who he is! His acting career has even eclipsed his time in the ring. Aside from being talented and good-looking, he is also charitable. He even started a foundation that helps children with terminal illnesses.

Hulk Hogan

Born Terre Gene Bollea, Hulk Hogan has left a legacy on the industry. Outside of it, he has also worked as a TV personality, entrepreneur, musician, and actor. He also owns a nutritional website and energy drink. In 2007, he hit a rough patch while going through a divorce and losing nearly everything he owns.

Big Show

After a wonderful wrestling career Big Show was active in the acting industry as well. He featured in a number of TV shows and movies, such as a comedy flick called Knucklehead.

Rey Mysterio

Oscar Gutierrez went by the right name Rey Mysterio. The masked fighter charmed millions of fans from across the globe. Donning his Lucha Libre mask, he made waves in the industry in the ‘90s and ‘00s. He has won the WWE Cruiserweight, the World Heavyweight Championship, and the WWE Championship in the past. A lot of fans are shocked by how well he has aged. He barely looks older than he did in the past! He remains active by participating in House of Glory, QPW, and Black Destiny Wrestling.

Yokozuna

Next, we have the first Samoan wrestler! Rodney Agatupa Anoa’i is better known as Yokozuna among wrestling fans. Did you know that he was the only one of Samoan descent to win the WWF World Heavyweight Championship? In 2000, his dead body was discovered in his hotel room after a tour at the age of 34. His cause of death was thought to be a heart attack, but it was pulmonary edema.

“Stone Cold” Steve Austin

Steve Austin decided to retire from pro wrestling thanks to his injuries. In his prime, he bagged six WWF Championship titles! He did not leave the spotlight altogether since he went into acting after that. You might have even seen him in Nash Bridges and The Expendables. At the moment, it is believed that he has a net worth of $45 million, which is simply incredible.

Batista

David Michael Bautista, better known as Batista, is a retired wrestler who is currently enjoying all the opportunities that his retirement has to offer. He has gone into bodybuilding, martial arts, and acting in the past! When it comes to his acting career, he is best known for playing “Drax” in Marvel movies.

Adam Joseph Copeland used the ring name Edge back in the day. The WWE Hall of Famer eventually left the ring to try his hand at acting!

Shawn Michael

Born Michael Shawn Hickenbottom, Shawn Michaels is a champion wrestler who is a familiar face on TV. Aside from acting, he also worked as a TV presenter! He is the main ambassador of WWE and the host of Shawn Michaels’ River Adventures. Over the years, he has been married twice.

Booker-T

Robert Booker Tio Huffman is better known as Booker T. During his time in the ring, he was able to amass a large fan following. Even though he has since retired, this does not change the fact that he has 6 world championships and 21 other titles to his name. He works as a color commentator and promoter. Did you know that he has written two books and made appearances in more than 27 video games?

Triple H

Triple H stands for Hunter Hearts Helmsley, which is the ring name used by Paul Michel Levesque. After his wrestling days, he tried his hand at acting and business. He is a businessman and works as the Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative at WWE. Together with his wife, he built a foundation called Connor’s Cure to fight Medulloblastoma and honor a child who died from it.
