Popular Nigerian socio-political activist, Deji Adeyanju has warned Nigerians to be wary of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s declaration to succeed his principal, Muhammadu Buhari, during next year’s general elections.
Prof. Yemi Osinbajo earlier announced his intention to run for the post of presidency in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
The vice-president said if given the opportunity he will provide an excellent environment for businesses to fly, enhancing Nigeria’s Social Investment Programme to a full-scale social welfare scheme.
Reacting, Adeyanju warned Nigerians that Osinbajo was ‘extremely incompetent.’
He tweeted;
“Osinbajo and the Yoruba people supporting him may think Nigeria was created for them but how can a man serve as Vice President for eight years in a divided and multi ethnic nation where some regions have never held power before and now want to be president for another eight years?
And this man is even extremely incompetent.
Though I don’t like Tinubu & never will but he has better chances to be APC’s candidate than Osinbajo. Osinbajo is only running for entertainment purposes. He is seen as a betrayal. As leader of the economic team under Buhari, he has destroyed the Nigerian economy.
He also lacks the courage to speak truth to power. When the judiciary was humiliated, he did nothing to defend the profession. They used an exparte injunction to remove a CJN, harassed judges, disobeyed court judgments, violated human rights, killed protesters & he said nothing.
