English Premier League club, Manchester City has confirmed that they have agreed to sign Erling Haaland from Borussia dortmuund.
Haaland, 21, will move to City this summer after they activated a £63.2m release clause in his contract.
In a statement on the club’s official website, Mancity.com, the club stated that they “have reached an agreement in principle with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of striker Erling Haaland to the Club on 1st July 2022.“
However, it stated that “the transfer remains subject to the Club finalising terms with the player.“
The deal ends the club’s hunt for a successor to their all-time top scorer Sergio Aguero, who joined Barcelona on a free transfer last summer.
