Kylian Mbappe Reportedly Commits to Five-Year Deal with Real Madrid

The captain of the French national team, Kylian Mbappe, has allegedly secured his future with La Liga powerhouse Real Madrid for the next five years. Despite initially informing Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) that he would not extend his contract beyond June 2024, recent reports suggest that Mbappe has agreed in principle to join Real Madrid during the 2025 summer transfer window.

While no official contract has been signed with Real Madrid yet, the announcement of the deal may occur after the current season’s Champions League clubs can no longer face each other. Mbappe, who was absent from PSG’s starting lineup against Nantes on February 17, 2024, made a significant impact by scoring a penalty after coming off the bench, contributing to PSG’s 14-point lead at the top of Ligue 1.

As part of the reported agreement, the forward player is set to sign a lucrative five-year deal with Real Madrid. His earnings are expected to include an annual salary of 15 million euros, coupled with a substantial signing-on bonus of 150 million euros (£128 million), payable over five years. Furthermore, Mbappe is anticipated to retain a percentage of his image rights as part of this high-profile transfer.
