English FA Ends Women’s Football Season Over COVID-19 Crisis.

The English Football Association Women’s Super League and Women’s Championship Board, on Tuesday announced that the 2019/2200 season in the top two tiers of English women’s football has been brought to an end.

After consultation with clubs and key stakeholders from across both leagues the English FA has decided to conclude the 2019/2020 season.

Manchester City and Chelsea top the Women’s Super League table. With Manchester City leading Chelsea before the league was called off. However Chelsea would be crowned champions if the points-per-game formula applied in several men’s leagues across Europe is applied.

But definitely both Manchester and Chelsea Women teams will qualify for next season’s Women Champions League based on points-per-game.

While in the Women championship division, Aston Villa stayed six points on top the table, to win the championship.

We hope everything returns to normal as soon as possible.
