FG Orders Closure Of Kara Bridge, Along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

On Friday, Lagos State’s Controller of Works, Mr. Kayode Popoola, announced that the Federal Government has given the order for the partial closure of the Kara Bridge, along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Mr Popoola revealed that partial closure set to begin on Saturday is for an integrity test. Stating that an integrity test was necessary to ascertain the stability of the bridge, following a recent tanker fire accident.

He further appealed for motorists’ cooperation and understanding, adding that traffic would be diverted to two lanes, instead of the original three on the highway.
