Man Arrested For Allegedly Abusing His 16-year-old Daughter

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has arrested one Ime Sunday for allegedly raping his 16-year-old daughter.

Ime, who lives at Ekpene Obo in the Esit Eket Local Government Area of the State, was arrested on the allegations of repeatedly abusing his daughter, which led to her running away from the house. According to report, Ime has been arrested for the same reason in the past as he lives with eight other girls in his deliverance center. The girls are between 13 and 16-years-old.

The news which was confirmed by the Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal stated, “On June 21, 2020, around 3.30pm, operatives of the Esit Eket Division arrested one Ime Sunday of Ekpene Obo, Esit Eket LGA. Investigation revealed that the suspect, in November 2019, repeatedly abused his daughter of 16, which made her run from the house.”

The where about of the wife of Ime, was not revealed as this is a shameful act coming from a father who should be protecting his daughter from sexual abuse, rather he’s the accused.
