The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has called on all Nigerians and not just the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to stop the All Progressive Congress (APC), from adding more misfortune and calamity to the country come 2023.
The governor also debunked all reports which claimed he was going to run for the office of the presidency, as he said, he’s more focused on the people of Rivers State and the growth of the PDP, which has plans of taking over power in 2023.
“The APC should not be allowed to continue to keep the country in its present calamitous state. We want to take over to move Nigeria forward and also to clear every speculation, I’m not going to run for the office of the President of Nigeria for now. I am concentrating on developing Rivers State.” Governor Wike said.
The governor also made it known to newsmen that the current problem in PDP has nothing to do with 2023 and that the party is gearing up to take over after President Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure.
In my own opinion, what is the difference between PDP and APC? PDP ruled Nigeria for over 14 years and Nigerians were not satisfied with their leadership which gave APC the opportunity. Now the APC have taken over, and we are still singing the same old song. Nigeria needs true leadership, not greedy and selfish individuals who only want to fill their pockets and that of their families.
What is your take on this? Can the APC or PDP really take Nigeria to the next level, or we need the Youths to work together and form a strong force? Share your thoughts at the comment section and don’t forget to download our App for more trending news.
