Federal Government is experimenting with the lives of poor Nigerians – ASUU President

It’s no news that the Federal Government of Nigeria are seeking for a way to bring back students and pupils to the class room, even when the health of Nigerians is at great risk.

The President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, Prof Biodun Ogunyemi, insisted that it’s unsafe for schools to reopen in the country as it’s not yet time. The union made it known that the Federal Government could endanger the lives of poor Nigerian pupils.

“What we are trying to do now is a crash model-an experimental approach. We want to experiment with the lives of poor Nigerians- children of poor. Many of us in my bracket- maybe middle class- our children don’t fall into that category. And that is probably why we cannot appreciate why we need to do the basic minimum.” Ogunyemi said.

As a parent or family member, do you think it’s right for schools to resume? A country where most people don’t even believe
