Photos of the fire incident that engulfed Marina market in Calabar

Marina market according to reports, is the second largest market in Cross River state and it is situated in Calabar, the capital of the state was engulfed with fire, as the incident occurred in the early hours of the day.

The main cause of the fire is still unknown as the fire destroyed goods which could worth millions as traders can be seen lamenting over their loss. The government of the state are yet to make any official report or visited the scene as at the time of filling this report.

This is not the first time in Nigeria such a thing is happening, but it can be put to pause and goods could be saved if the right authorities are properly funded (Fire Service). In some state, the Fire Service Commission is more like a forgotten or abandoned commission as their presence can’t be ready felt why most state just have one office and still, they can’t be relied on.
