“I Will Seek Re-election Only When God Speaks To Me”- Oyo Governor Reveals.

Oluseyi Makinde, the executive governor of Oyo State, has revealed that he will seek for re-election only when God speaks to him.

During the 2021 Hijrah Luncheon in Agodi, Ibadan, the governor stated that although some of his supporters have commenced campaign for his re-election, his decision to seek for another term in office depends on God’s leading.

“Please let us go back to God. I did not tell the people in 2019 that I must be governor at all cost.

“The prayer I prayed to God was to allow His will prevail. So, I am saying it again,” Makinde stated.

Governor Makinde assumed office on May 2019 and he is currently the only PDP governor ruling in the southwestern region of the country.
