Real Madrid Faces Setback with Key Players’ Injuries During International Break

As the international break kicks off, Real Madrid, a top football club in Spain, has encountered two significant blows due to injuries that could impact their performance in the 2023/2024 season.

Vinicius Jnr and Camavinga are the two players who will be unavailable for Real Madrid when club football activities resume.

Vinicius Jnr’s Injury: Vinicius Jnr, who recently returned from a previous injury, sustained a new injury while playing for his national team, Brazil. During a game against Colombia, he was substituted off after experiencing sharp pain in his hamstring. In a post-match press conference, he mentioned that it seems to be the same injury he had earlier in August 2023, saying, “I think it’s the same injury as last time. I took a hit there, and it hurt a little later. Tomorrow we will do tests to see how I go.”

Eduardo Camavinga’s Injury: Real Madrid confirmed in an official statement that Camavinga suffered an injury during training for the French national team on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. The statement revealed that the young midfielder had a rupture of the external lateral ligament of the right knee. The club stated, “Following tests carried out today on our player Eduardo Camavinga by the Real Madrid medical services, it has been diagnosed that he has torn the lateral collateral ligament in his right knee. Further developments are awaited.” Camavinga is expected to be unavailable for play until 2024.
